Hello,
I’ve just ordered a big load of spices but realised I don’t really have anything ideal to store them in. I see two obvious options.
These sort of contraptions: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Set-of-6-Le-Parfait-Style-4oz-Glass-Spice-Storage-Jars_W0QQitemZ130353029349QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_HomeGarden_Kitchen_FoodStorage_GL?hash=item1e59a560e5
Or something like these: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mason_jar
The former is more expensive, but will surely keep it completely air tight. The latter is cheaper (and I can get a deal on them for quite a few) but I am unsure of whether it is air tight or not. The lid is a two-piece thing with the screw mechanism putting pressure on the plate on the top.
Any ideas? I’ve never used or seen the second option which is why I’m unsure of them.
Thanks for your help.
