Most dorms and hotels have rules about candles for good reason. Why don't you purchase one of those candle warmers (about 7 bucks). It will scent the room and save your candle. Just make certain that the candle isn't too large and blow it out whenever you aren't in your dorm room. My daughter has a smelly candle in her dorm room and so far, so good!
